Edil Baisalov at the UN Conference in Avaza: Kyrgyzstan Strengthens International Dialogue

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov took part in a number of key events within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

As Vice-Chairman of the Conference, Edil Baisalov chaired the plenary session of the general debate and also spoke at the ministerial panel meeting of the UN South-South program.

During the events, the Deputy Prime Minister held bilateral meetings with a number of high-level conference participants, including: Prime Minister of Uganda Robina Nabbandja, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria Johannes Schellhorn, Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Fesollah Sadeghian Malwajerdei, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Bhutan Dendup Dhunguela, State Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Integration of the Republic of Chad Fatima Assa Garfa, Secretary General of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Program on Transport Corridors (TRACECA) Azamatbek Asanbayev.

Edil Baisalov also spoke at the high-level thematic roundtable “Structural transformation, diversification and science, technology and innovation as drivers of prosperity for vulnerable landlocked developing countries”. He also moderated a meeting on digital economy and innovation within the framework of the Civil Forum, held on the sidelines of the UN Conference.
